Task Scope

◦ Design services in all fields, including architecture, civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, communications,

landscaping, etc.

Design Fee

◦ 190,000 USD

- The cost includes basic design, detailed design, as well as the preparation, submission, and necessary consultations for various

documents required for permits and approvals.

- Additional cooperation in design management and supervision tasks by PM/QS.

Purpose of the Competition

◦ The Korean Cultural Center serves as a space for promoting and offering hands-on experiences of Korean culture in the host

country. Key facilities of it include a performance hall (theater-style), exhibition hall, library, K-beauty experience and lounge

area, classrooms for various cultural activities (such as Taekwondo, K-Pop dance, traditional dance, singing, and traditional

instruments), Korean language classrooms, offices, a multimedia broadcasting room, reception area, storage rooms, and a

parking lot. This design competition aims to select a creative architectural proposal that organizes these spaces and establishes

the necessary facilities in alignment with the Center's purpose and functions.

◦ Open Design Competition (Based on the Architectural Design Competition Guidelines, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and

Transport Notification No. 2023-180)

Qualification

◦ Firms that hold a valid architect license in accordance with the Architects Act and have registered the establishment of an

architectural office.

◦ As of the date of the design competition announcement, firms must not be under business suspension by the relevant

authority. (At the time of application, proof must be submitted—issued by the Architects Association or the registering
